Friday Final Reflection: April 7, 2017
Spring is Here!
Happy Friday Friends! First things first I must say Go Knights Go! This is always one of my favorite times of the year. Basketball playoffs are starting soon and once again the Raptors will be in. Also, March Madness just concluded which is, in my opinion, the best sporting event, period! Sorry, Super Bowl! Then there is the beginning of the baseball season which is more symbolic to me than anything. It symbolizes the start of spring and that summer is just around the corner. I personally love summer. Every day just seems like a better day when the weather is nice. The beginning of spring also makes me think of the year in progress thus far.
2017 has been a decent year so far. My website has finally launched, which is a good thing. I have joined several local groups that are important to me. The People of Downtown London is a great group of very enthusiastic people. The mandate of the group is to make Downtown London a more attractive place to “Live, Work and Play.” I happen to do all 3 of those things in Downtown London so that is what attracted me to the group. I also have joined the board of the London North Centre Federal Liberal Association. The group consists of some very smart and dedicated people. They have the objective of spreading the mission and raising funds for our local Member of Parliament. My MP Peter Fragiskatos’ mission is to fully represent his constituents in Ottawa. I feel he has done a great job so far but the work never ends.
The beginnings of January, April, July, and September are always benchmarks for me in which I evaluate and plan ahead. So far I have accomplished several things this year but have neglected several others. I am going to use the next few months of spring to really tackle things on my “to do” list. I would recommend that everyone break their year down into segments and have some goals during those times. January is a great time to set some goals. You can then break them down a bit further into what you can do over a few months that will add to that goal being obtained. I just wish there were more hours in a day.
Have an amazing weekend! See you next week with the “Monday Morning Money Moment.”
